KLKRC will lead the comprehensive planning and execution of the of the UNBC VPRI Strategic Research Chairs Initiative. This role includes advancing multiple strategic research chair initiatives (including but not limited to IMPACT +, CERC, CRC, Industrial Chairs) as a foundational component of the UNBC VPRI. The Project lead will collaborate closely with various faculties in functional planning to ensure the plan meets the universities research needs while also supporting excellence in academic and research leadership through the integration of research chairs.
The Project lead will coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders (ie industrial chair planning where required/appropriate) to gather input, align objectives, and integrate feedback into the proposals.
Key responsibilities include extensive internal stakeholder consultation and advocacy, liaison with the Tri-Council and other external funders, project scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring that all planning activities, including those related to research chair initiatives, are thorough and aligned with the strategic goals of the UNBC Strategic Research Plan.
